Leave Your Contact Info

Hey, ladies and gents! I'm back to talk about yet another incident in the modeling world.

I received a message from a modeling social site that stated, "Leave your contact info." It was from a photographer, so the average person would assume that the photographer wanted to work with them. But let me say that that's not the way to do it. I don't know the guy nor what he wanted my info for and it might have been something I wasn't interested in and leaving my info would have simply wasted my time. If you want to be that vague about yourself, how about you leave your own info? Better yet, introduce yourself and tell the person what you're looking for because you're not going to get too far with what you're doing.

So I sent a message back just as vague that said "for?" I'm guessing he got mad and didn't think that I should have asked but known ahead of time what he needed my info for. So he sent back the professional sarcasm, "nothing. Thanks for your time."

If it's nothing, then don't ask! How about that one? That's new!

Adult Industry Profession

Men have been coming with these classic ways to persuade women to get into porn for years, but what they didn't prepare for was how to get the women that know the language and terminology of the business. They just assume that all women are dummies and they can thrown money in your face and you'll jump like a seal to get it. NO!

I can pretty much sense when a guy is going to talk about anything dealing with the adult industry.So I am pretty much prepared to shut anyone down that needs to be. I have a deeper thought on this subject in which I will post in a latter blog, but I want to focus on this one guy in particular.

It started when he messaged me asking me was I a model. I replied yes, do you? He said no, I am a model developer. ( First, that's NOT a real job title. Most models develop themselves and people that assist with helping them get where they are, don't refer to themselves as model developers. They are agents or assistants or directors. Something that has pay to it. Listen to what they tell you first before you get excited because that's how they prey on you: through your enthusiasm and LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.) So I asked, what does this job entail. His response was that he looks after guyz/galz who were interested in becoming models. (Now what? Please. So we know it's coming...the bogus job offer. That was the set up. Models don't need anyone to look after them solely because they have an interest. They need someone to find a job for them...maybe. That's called a manager or an agent. If they need someone to look after them, they'll bring someone they already KNOW personally along with them. That's called an escort. Again, pay attention to what is being said novices.)

So this is the point where I saved him a lie by asking if he worked for a company or was he freelance. Most people will tell you that they work for a company but they will never tell you the name of the company and you'll get caught up and forget to ask. So be mindful of your situation AT ALL TIMES. He said that he was freelance. He must've known that I'd ask about the company. Next, if he's not working for a company how does plan to get you into the field of YOUR interest. They usually can't and they try to get you into porn, so they can pimp you out and they make all of the money while you sleep with half of the country while the other half watches. Umm no! I don't think so!!!

So he asked was I interested in any new projects and of course I said yes even knowing that he had nothing of interest ro me, but I knew that I would have an opportunity to shut him down which was good enough for me. Lol. Then he asked my breast size. why only ask about my breast size. If you are inquiring about a real job and you need physical information you request measurements, not the size of something tantalizing to your eyes. Please! I responded what kind of new projects to do you have open and I'm going to tell you up front that I am not interested in anything that anything to do with the adult industry. Then this damn fool showed out and showed that his lack of knowledge was below the people that he was trying to swindle when he asked well what about porn. I was like that's a part of the adult industry... a MAJOR part. He is a dummie. I tell you. People are more stupid than they appear.Then he lol and says, "porn meaning as my definition group sex." I don't give a damn about your meaning. Did I not just say I didn't want to do it. Now you're telling me it's a group thing. I like to refer to that as an orgy and that is still porn and you are still uneducated. So I said whatever it is, I'm not doing it. He said why not. I said I got a better idea. How about you let me pimp you out and I'll make all the money. He asked how.I said the same way you're planning to do me. He laughed. So then I asked how much money do you make vs. what the porn participators make. He didn't respond for OVER twenty minutes until he came back to say that he makes $60,000 annually and paused another five minutes before telling me that they make about $15,000-$20,000 annually.

In case you haven't checked you job titles lately people, let me help you with some figures here. A dancer/choreographer (not stripper. I mean a professional dancer) makes that. Security guards working at minimum wage makes that and those are unarmed guards. Guess how many people that had to screw to those jobs.... Have you thought about it? Good! Because what he just said is that you're going to be making minimum wage and having unprotected sex with with GROUPS of people for the world to see. Oh and if you're inquiring about how many porns he's been in that figures rounds up to 0. He's just the guy that gets to watch the finish product while jacking off and referring to himself as a "model developer". In fact, you haven't modeled anything. I'll give it to him though. He is a model jackass. Now you know that he's not doing anything but making money off of you if you were foolish enough to fall for it. Of course, that's after reading this. If you don't know then you just don't know. So please try to educate yourself as much as possible.

Conclusion: He left after this. I guess he didn't want to switch roles with me. That's too bad. I would have loved to be a model developer. Lol!

The Right Photographer

This one photographer had nice photos and offered to work with me. He was very cool. I actually met with him before working with him, but it turns out that our first shoot, he was, as he call it, "struggling to stay professional." There weren't any real boundaries crossed unless you think that whatever goes on inside a man's head when he sees a beautiful woman is wrong. Everyone now and again an mmm! mmm! mmm! would escape but plenty of people do crazy things on set. But this one fell under the category of being too sexy for my work because I never received the images from that shoot. I did that photo shoot back in November of 2007 and never received one image from it. I got to view them after the shoot and he said he'd edit them and post them online and gave me a password where I could view them online but each time I went to the website there was no way for me to log in so I called and he state that he had been so busy that he hadn't had time to upload the photos yet, but they would definitely be there at the end of the week. So now the whole holiday season is over and a new year has rolled in and the photos still hadn't made it to the website, but I could come pick them up if I wanted which I most certainly did.

Months later...

So he tells me to meet him at his other studio because that's where he'd be which was very far from my house but it was still within the city. The studio I did the shoot at was moments from my house and was a public location so I assumed this one would be as well since he had not stated otherwise but this was obviously a home studio and to this day I haven't seen anything in his port that looks like it was shot in that location which doesn't mean that it wasn't. I'm just stating my view.

Plus plenty of photographers use their home as a studio. So he took off his shoes and went to grab his laptop. He came back and showed me the photos again and pointed out his favorites. So there I was waiting for him to put the images on CD which i felt should have already been on CD by the time I got there especially considering the amount of time that had passed since the shoot. So he went to get to a CD, but before he left he was like you can take your shoes off, lay back and relax if you want. I'm thinking to myself: Why in the hell would I want to do that? But I spoke different words. 'In fact, I don't think I will. I'll just wait.'So he left the room for a couple of minutes and returned with the same thing he left with...nothing. He said, "Oh. I just remembered that I forgot the CD's at my other studio." Yeah right!!! So why in the hell did you have me drive all the way out here? I think we all know that answer but seriously did I look that dumb?!

I replied, " oh that's cool because I brought a flash drive just for the photos."

"I can't put them on there because the files are so large they just wouldn't fit but stop by my other studio later today and you can pick them up."

Okay. Well it seemed to me that I could have just waited until later. Plus that would have been more convenient for me in the first place. Plus I knew he was lying about the whole flash drive thing anyway. So I was like you know it doesn't really matter. I've lost pictures before and this of course would now become a part of that that category. So I told him: You know I think I better get going. He told me to call him later and I left.

I didn't call him later and I never got those photos, but every now and again, he'd contact me about shooting with him again and I was like umm seriously. I never got the last photos and you want me to shoot with you again on the whim that I'll be able to pick up the photos from the last shoot at this shoot. No thanks. I recreated that shoot (with myself)and thought nothing else about those photos. I think mine came out just as nice. Plus I was guaranteed the photos. See above for an example of my version.

Novice Model

A model that has been modeling less than a year complimented my looks and body, but not so much on my photos. She said they weren't professional enough.She said that if I came to her city, The Fashion Capital, she would refer me to a good photographer. I thanked her for her compliments and critiques as anyone should. But on the flipside, I look like a damn fool going all the way to New York just for some damn photos. If I go I need a job. There's good photographers in Memphis. I just don't wanna get caught up in taking photos and forgetting to market myself like I should. The photos I have are the ones that got me my paying jobs.Yet, I understand because portfolios always need updates.

The thing is when I looked through her photos I saw that a lot of them were on my level and some not even that good. Her posing needed a lot of work cause she looked lost on several and the photo that caught my eye the most was the one where she had on this fly lingerie set but umm she forgot to remove the pubic hair that's crawling down her thighs. I'm like she should have checked that AND the photographer should have been nice enough to say something about that or retouch it or something. lol. I surely hope that isn't who she's going to refer me to because I think photographer's should at least tell you if something doesn't look right, but I'm not sure if he did or didn't.

I didn't say anything about that though because that just would have made it seem like I couldn't accept criticism. I'm not gone lie. There are some people that can't tell me nothing, but she's not one. I respect her. but this is just something I wanted to share.

Introduction of a Supermodel

Good morning fellow readers and visitors! I am Supermodel Dominique and I would like to thank those of you who thought enough about me to stop by and check out my blog. A lot of people take interest in my life so I take a lot of interest in what I choose to share with those people.

My story has never been cyberly told as a model; only as a musician and a writer. So I personally want to be the one to share my life with you... though I may not be the first to do so because people love to share their opinions of me as well. Yet, this I do know. This is my model monologue.
